Model:
AX-100 PLUS/ AX-200 PLUS
AX-100 ALPHA/ AX-200 ALPHA Desc: Outdoor Short-Range Photoelectric
Intrusion Detector
NOTE:
Words/statements within square brackets [ ] may be included when appropriate,
or when selection is required.
The Intrusion Detector[s] shall operate on the
Verified Intrusion principle
using Infrared Photoelectric, and shall be Listed by Underwriter's
Laboratories, Inc..
OUTPUT AND ENCLOSURE
[Each] [The] detector shall provide the detection, signal
processing, alarm relay, and operating power circuitry in the same enclosure; and shall
provide an alarm relay actuation upon the
detection of an intruder moving into or through its
protection pattern. The housing cover
and chassis shall
be highly durable and heat resistant, and shall be capable of mounting to a Wall or Pole without
modification.
The total weight (both Transmitter and Receiver)
shall be 36.7 oz. (1040g).
[Each]
[The] detector shall
feature a single piece
electronic logic board
whose circuitry is specifically
designed for this detector alone, and which has
sustained a substantial “Burn-in” test
for several days.
[Each]
[The] detector shall also feature
rain, dust, and Insect Protection. The Rubber O-Ring and Rubber
Grommets used in [each] [the] model shall prevent rain, dust, and tiny
insects from adversely
affecting performance (IP55).
LED OPERATION
The
detector[s] shall incorporate a single,
Red LED to indicate the operating conditions. Red
LED illuminated shall indicate an alarm
condition. Red LED not illuminated shall
indicate a non-alarm condition.
The LED indicator shall feature a 3 Step
Process for fast
and accurate fine
beam adjustment. On [each] [the]
ALPHA version detector, the alignment
condition shall be visually
displayed on the
front and in the
viewfinder of the receiver. By simply
aiming both units and watching the LED indicators, accurate and
reliable alignment shall
be achieved. The alignment
status at the receiver shall be optically transferred
to the transmitter and shall
be indicated by the
LEDs.
To align the transmitter, one
shall simply monitor the LED level while adjusting. The LED shall be
“ON” before alignment, “Flickering” when
Beam energy from
the transmitter is reaching
the receiver, and “OFF”
when the beam
is ready for
fine tuning. Fine tune adjustment shall
always be done with a Volt Meter.
POWER REQUIREMENT
The
detector[s] shall be
capable of operating from
a DC power source rated within the range of 10.5 to 25 volts
DC. The current draw (transmitter
+ receiver) for models
AX-100 PLUS and
AX-200 PLUS shall be a maximum of
46 mA during normal operation. The
current draw (transmitter + receiver)
for models AX-100
ALPHA and AX-200 ALPHA shall be
40 mA during normal operation,
and 46mA (maximum) during optical alignment.

ALARM OPERATION
A condition of alarm shall occur when the
alarm conditions are
met. The Beam Interruption Period shall be adjustable
within the range of 50 ~ 500 msec. to increase stability while maintaining
reliability at every installation
site. A selectable
4 channel beam frequency with
automatic synchronization
shall be available
for models AX-100 ALPHA and AX-200 ALPHA. The beam
characteristics shall be pulsed
infrared. The Alarm Period shall be 2.0
± 1 seconds nominal.
The Alarm Output shall be capable
of handling 28VDC, 0.2A max., Form C Relay. [Each]
[The] detector shall signal the condition of alarm using a
Form C Relay with terminal strip
connections. The detector[s] shall
also contain
a tamper switch on the receiver
only that shall
open when the cover is removed.
SENSOR STABILITY
[Each]
[The] detector shall
feature protection against Lighting
and High EMI Disturbances. An
improved EMI Surge Absorber and High Surge
Resistiveness Relay shall maintain stable operation
even in the most lightning prone areas, and shall remain stable against
over 14kV of lightning surge.
[Each]
[The] ALPHA version
detector shall also utilize selectable
beam frequencies to eliminate cross talk of Beams and to provide accurate beam
discrimination. The selectable 4
channel beam frequency with automatic synchronization shall be used to
avoid cross talk problems that
occur when using
2 photobeams for long
distance or beam stacking applications.
[Each] [The] detector shall remain stable even
in high temperature conditions. [Each] [The]
detector shall be
rated to operate within a
temperature range of [minus
13° Fahrenheit to Plus 131° Fahrenheit]
[minus 25° Celsius to
Plus 55° Celsius].
[Each] [The] detector shall also tolerate a
humidity rate of 95% max. No false
alarm shall occur within these operating
conditions.
[Each]
[The] detector shall
contain an A.G.C. (Automatic Gain Control) Circuit to continually
monitor for gradual changes in the
signal’s strength
caused
by changing weather conditions.
It shall adjust
the sensitivity accordingly to maintain the proper signal level
for the current
environmental conditions.
[Each]
[The] detector shall
provide protection against rain, dust, and insects by means of a sealed
enclosure housing. The Rubber O-Ring
and Rubber Grommets (IP55) used in the detector[s] shall prevent
rain, dust, and tiny insects from
adversely affecting performance.
[Each] [The] detector shall feature frost and
dew protection. An anti-frost and convex visor design shall be
incorporated to protect the detector[s] from the effect of frost or snow.
[Each] [The] detector shall utilize Twin Synchronized Pulsed
Beams with size analysis technology to eliminate false
alarms due to birds or flying
objects. The “And Gate” dual beams shall require simultaneous interruption of both
beams to trigger an activation.
No activation shall be generated when
a bird or falling leaves break just one beam.
LENS AND DETECTION PATTERN
[Each]
[The] detector shall
contain a durable and high grade Aspherical
lens that shall focus received infrared energy onto the sensor.
The sensor and module combined shall create
more sharply defined
and precise infrared beams compared to
those created by ordinary lenses.
The
precise area of the detection
field shall be specific to each model. Model
AX- 100 PLUS shall feature a detection
field of 100ft (30m) Outdoor,
and 200ft (60m) Indoor, with a Maximum Arrival Distance of 1000ft (300m). Model AX-200 PLUS shall feature a
detection field of 200ft (60m) Outdoor, and
400ft (120m) Indoor,
with a Maximum Arrival Distance
of 2000ft (600m). Model AX-100 ALPHA
shall feature a detection
field of 100ft (30m) Outdoor, and
200ft (60m) Indoor, with a Maximum Arrival Distance of 1000ft (300m). Model AX-200 ALPHA shall
feature a detection
field of

200ft
(60m) Outdoor, and
400ft (120m) Indoor, with a Maximum
Arrival Distance of 2000ft (600m).
The mounting height of the detector[s] shall be within the range of 0.8
~ 1.2m (2.7 ~ 4ft).
Fine optical beam alignment shall also be
incorporated into the detector[s]. The rotating dial shall allow the installer
to finely adjust the beam
easily either horizontally (180°/ ± 90°) or vertically
(10°/ ± 5°), with or without the use of a screw (finger adjustable).
MODEL
The Intrusion Detector shall be model AX-100 PLUS (Outdoor Short-Range
Photoelectric Intrusion Detector) [or] [model AX-200 PLUS] [or] [model
AX-100 ALPHA][or] [model AX-200 ALPHA],
